Energy giant BP said Tuesday it will donate any revenue from oil collected from the leak in the Gulf of Mexico to a wildlife fund for the embattled United States’ Southern coast. BP in the last few days has succeeded in placing a containment cap over the ruptured wellhead about 1.6 kilometres below the surface. On Monday it collected nearly 15,000 barrels, though that may only be half of the oil gushing into the ocean from the leak.
