NEW YORK (Dow Jones)--Crude oil rose to its highest level in seven weeks Friday as the U.S. reported fewer job losses than expected, offering encouragement in the economic recovery. Investors moved into oil on the expectation that fuel consumption will rise as economic growth picks up pace.
