BY MADALINA IACOB NEW YORK -- Crude futures traded flat Friday, as traders look to equities for direction in a market haunted by weak oil demand.

Light, sweet crude for September delivery recently traded two cents higher at $67.18 a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange. Brent crude on the ICE futures exchange traded 21 cents higher at $69.46 a barrel.
