NEW YORK (CNNMoney.com) -- Oil climbed above $80 a barrel Tuesday as investor optimism about the economic recovery boosted fuel demand.

What prices are doing: Light, sweet crude oil for April delivery gained $2.03, or 2.6%, to $80.73 a barrel. What's driving prices: Oil prices followed stocks higher Tuesday amid expectations that a rescue package for Greece is near.
